RARITAN - Strong winds damaged several homes in Somerset County Sunday.

The storm left a damage path about a half-mile long in one Raritan neighborhood. Along the path, the wind damaged roofs, windows and trees.

"It sounded like someone banging on the windows, and we look out and I see part of my fence flying. My grill all over the place, not fun," said Gregg Philep, of Raritan, whose backyard was damaged in the storm.

The National Weather Service is investigating what caused the damage to determine the exact weather pattern that occurred, which according to some experts could have been from a microburst.
