PATERSON - One month after a fatal hit-and-run, the victim's wife is pleading for the person responsible for her husband's death to turn themselves in.
Miguel Rodriguez was riding his motorcycle near the intersection of Hazel Street and Montclair Avenue in Paterson at around 3:30 a.m. on Nov. 16 when police say a car ran a stop sign, causing Rodriguez to slam into the car.
Police say after the collision the driver allegedly got out of his car, walked up to Rodriguez who was lying in the street, and then got back into his car and sped off.
Rodriguez left behind five children, with a sixth on the way. His wife is now asking anyone with information to come forward.
"Somebody out there has to know something," Christina Rodriguez says. "Whether it's a relative, friend, a neighbor, or a body shop because there was damage to the car. Somebody has to know something."
Police are looking for a four-door, navy blue Mercedes C-Class. They say it would have sustained damage to the driver's side fender and fog light.
