WESTFIELD - Police have arrested a fourth-grade teacher on suspicion of possession of marijuana during a traffic stop today in Westfield.

Police say 31-year-old Brendan Hickey was found with 50 grams of marijuana.

Hickey is listed as a fourth-grade teacher at McKinley Elementary School in Westfield and a coach of both high school boys' ice hockey and girls' lacrosse.

Authorities say that if convicted of a drug offense, Hickey could face revocation of his teaching credentials.
