West Orange bar bouncer fatally shot in parking lot fight

WEST ORANGE - Essex County prosecutors say a bar bouncer was fatally shot while trying to break up a fight outside a West Orange establishment.

The prosecutor's office said it was not immediately clear what sparked the fight, which broke out around 2 a.m. yesterday outside Misty's Restaurant.

Prosecutors say the bouncer, 32-year-old Jacques Nelson of Orange, was pronounced dead shortly after the shooting occurred.

Police believe two bar patrons may have been involved in fight. No arrests have been made.
