WEST MILFORD - West Milford police are warning residents about an armed man who broke into a home.

Police say that the suspect broke into a home around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Hewitt section of town. Officers report that he was armed with a handgun and stole several electronic devices.

Images of the suspect were caught on the home’s surveillance system. He is a black, heavyset man and was wearing a black jacket and gray sweats.

Anyone who may recognize the burglar is asked to call the West Milford Police Department at 973-728-2800.
