EDISON - Flood watches are in place for much of New Jersey through Saturday.

News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Dave Curren says that as of 9 p.m. Friday night, 1- 2 inches of rain had already fallen with more to come.

Small streams, low-lying areas and possible basement flooding are now a primary concern. News 12 New Jersey will keep an eye on how high larger rivers will rise through the weekend and into early next week.
