EDISON - High temperatures hit 80 degrees in parts of the Garden State today as we head into the last weekend of winter.

News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Dave Curren says the unseasonably warm temperatures will be short-lived. A cold front will move into the area bringing temperatures back down to around 50 degrees for the weekend.

Spring is set to begin on March 20 at 7:21 p.m.
