EDISON - A storm system moving toward the Garden State could produce some snow accumulation in northwestern parts of the state this weekend.

A winter storm watch has been issued for Morris, Sussex, Warren and western Passaic counties.

News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Michele Powers says the northwest corner of the state could see as much as 8 inches of snow by late Saturday night. Powers says parts of central and southern New Jersey could see a wintry mix with perhaps a dusting of snow on grassy areas.

Today's high temperatures are expected to be in the low-50s under mostly sunny skies. The clouds will begin to build tonight with overnight lows dropping to between 32 and 40 degrees.
