EDISON - News 12 New Jersey meteorologist Dave Curren says that after the rain pushes through tonight, New Jersey will see wind gusts up to 50 mph.

Curren says the winds will have the ability to snap tree branches and could potentially topple them onto power lines.

The rain will also leave cooler temperatures across the state, with the average high coming in at around 46 degrees.

For Saturday night, temperatures will hover at around 36 degrees.
