EDISON - News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Dave Curren says residents should treat current conditions as if a hurricane warning was posted.

Conditions will be cloudy and windy in New Jersey tonight ahead of Sandy. The winds will become tropical storm strength, and New Jersey can expect a couple of inches of rain by morning.

Temperatures tonight will be in the upper 40s and lower to middle 50s.

The wind and rain is expected to pick up by Monday afternoon.
