EDISON - All of New Jersey remains under a tornado watch until 9 p.m.

News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Dave Curren says heavy rain and strong winds are already taking down trees and snapping power lines. Curren says some very severe storms could be headed toward the western part of the state with wind gusts of up to 70 mph.

Curren says a line of strong thunderstorms will continue through the overnight hours, but that everything should be clear by tomorrow morning.
