EDISON - New Jersey faces another threat of thunderstorms that could move across the state this afternoon.

News 12 New Jersey meteorologist James Gregorio says the storms could produce 1 to 2 inches of rain an hour, creating the potential for flash flooding later today.

A flash flood watch will take effect at noon for Hunterdon, Somerset, Middlesex, Monmouth, Mercer, Salem, Gloucester, Camden, Burlington, Ocean, Cumberland, Atlantic and Cape May counties.
