EDISON - Rain is currently sweeping across the Garden State. News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Dave Curren says through the overnight hours, there will be grumbles of thunder and flashes of lightning as some intense January storms moves across the region.

Curren says 1-2 inches of rain is likely and this will create some very large puddles to navigate around tomorrow morning. Commuters are advised to give themselves extra time to allow for delays on the roads.
