EDISON - Temperatures continue to be unseasonably warm for the middle of December.

News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Dave Curren says that temperatures in Trenton reached 68 degrees, breaking a record. Temperatures in other areas of New Jersey were even warmer, with the highest temperatures reaching 72 degrees.

Curren says that Monday evening’s rain could last overnight into Tuesday morning.

Tuesday is expected to see temperatures in the 60s. The rain should last throughout the morning before clearing by the afternoon.

Wednesday should see clear skies, but temperatures may cool into the low-50s.

The end of the week is expected to remain clear, but temperatures should reach a more seasonable temperature of 42 degrees.
