EDISON - New Jersey saw a mixture of sun and clouds Wednesday after getting hit by heavy rainstorms on Tuesday.

News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Dave Curren says that the weather should remain quiet over the next couple of days, but rain and snow could reach the forecast by early next week.

Wednesday’s overnight hours should see temperatures drop into the mid- to low-20s. Skies are expected to remain mostly clear.

Thursday is expected to see mainly clear skies with temperatures warming slightly into the upper-30s.

Friday should see a mixture of sun and clouds with high temperatures in the upper-30s and low-40s.

Temperatures are expected to warm significantly on Saturday with highs in the low- to mid-50s.
