EDISON - Storms from Hurricane Arthur have mostly cleared from the area, but residents can expect cloudy skies and some chilly temperatures for the holiday evening.

Temperatures will be in the mid-60s. Sustained winds may get to be 20 to 30 mph.

News 12 New Jersey meteorologists say the outer bands of Hurricane Arthur are expected to cause high surf and rip currents throughout the Independence Day holiday weekend.

Saturday and Sunday are expected to be gorgeous, but beachgoers are cautioned to obey lifeguards and not swim at unguarded beaches.
