EDISON - A string of severe thunderstorms has pushed through area, leaving behind flooding across much of northern New Jersey.

An earlier tornado warning in Essex and Union counties has since been canceled.

News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Dave Curren says more rain is possible overnight through Tuesday.

Flood warnings and watches are in place for all but coastal areas of the state.
