Weather: Rain, warm temps on tap for the weekend
EDISON - Some rain is on its way into the area to start off the weekend.
News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Dave Curren says a band of rain will push into the area by around 8 or 9 p.m., bringing periods of showers and occasionally heavier rain overnight. Accumulations of up to 1.5 inches are expected.
Another round of showers and thunderstorms will be possible Saturday afternoon into the evening. Temperatures will also be a bit warmer, with highs in the upper 60s.

Sunshine is expected to return for Sunday, with comfortable high temperatures in the lower 60s.
