EDISON - Spring weather will take a break this week as temperatures dip.

News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Michele Powers says overnight temperatures will be in the mid-20s.

Clouds will roll in on Wednesday morning, bringing in heavy rain for the afternoon.

Highs will again reach the upper 50s across the state.

Powers says temperatures will turn sharply colder with highs Thursday in the upper 20s and low 30s.
