EDISON - People in New Jersey are advised to drink plenty of water and find some shade as the heat wave continues.

An excessive heat warning remains in effect for Mercer, Gloucester, Camden and northwest Burlington counties. Much of the rest of the state is under a heat advisory.

News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Michele Powers says overnight lows will be in the 70s and 80s. Highs Thursday will be in the mid to upper 90s. Combined with humidity, it'll feel like 105 to 110 degrees.

Powers says there is some relief on the horizon. Cooler temperatures are expected to arrive on Sunday.
