EDISON - A second bout of winter weather is hitting New Jersey, bringing snow, ice and sleet to the Garden State.

News 12 New Jersey Meteorologists say a winter storm warning has been issued for most of the state overnight until later this morning. A winter weather advisory is in effect for most of southern coastal New Jersey until late Wednesday morning.

Snow will be developing overnight as temperatures fall into the 20s.

Forecasters say the biggest concern for Wednesday is the freezing rain mixed with the snow, which could be treacherous for drivers during the morning commute. By late afternoon, the snow will changeover to rain and then begin to taper.

The northernmost part of New Jersey could get 6 to 8 inches of snow by Wednesday evening. Lesser accumulations are expected in southern parts of the state.
