EDISON - Changes in the weather are on the way for the Garden State.

News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Michele Powers says overnight lows will be in the 60s to low 70s.

Morning showers are expected Tuesday, with a chance of heavier rain in the evening and possible flooding. Highs will reach only into the 70s.

The rain picks up Tuesday night and through early Wednesday. Powers says flooding is possible due to the heavy rain in such a short period of time.

The weather clears out later Wednesday. Cooler air will settle in for the end of the week.
