EDISON - The Garden State will continue to see clouds and rainy weather for the next few days, and conditions around the Christmas holiday will be wet.

News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Dave Curren says temperatures around the state will continue to rise. Christmas Eve is expected to see record-breaking temperatures in the 70s.

The cloudy weather will stick around for Christmas Eve. Light rain showers could develop throughout the day.

Christmas Day is also expected to be mostly cloudy. Temperatures should cool slightly, but still remain unseasonably warm in the mid-60s.

Clouds and light rain should continue through the weekend, but temperatures are expected to drop into the 50s and 40s.
