CLARK - A water main break impacted families in Clark and Linden on Thursday.

New Jersey American Water says a 36-inch cast-iron pipe from the 1930s failed at around 2:45 p.m.

Some customers reported a loss in water pressure, but it returned to normal as repairs were made.

The repairs did shut down water service for about 30 families on Melvin Court, Russel Court and Tavar Terrace. They will be without water service for about 24 hours.
