TRENTON - The floodwaters have begun to recede in the Island section of Trenton following the evacuations of residents Thursday morning.

Many that live in the section are frustrated. Some told News 12 New Jersey that new elected officials aren't used to managing floods, so they hope this one teaches a lesson.

The city says the Trenton Fire Department will be working overnight to pump out flooded homes.
