Warm weather doesn't arrive without warnings

Many are welcoming the mild weather as they enjoy the sunshine, but experts warn that the mild winter may mean more pesky insects and ticks.

EDISON - Many are welcoming the mild weather as they enjoy the sunshine, but experts warn that the mild winter may mean more pesky insects and ticks.

While many children crowded the playgrounds this afternoon, many parents were armed with extra bug spray as a precaution. Deanna Hurst, a dog owner, told News 12 New Jersey she's keeping her dog out of wooded areas as a precaution.

Experts also warn that even though things seem to be frost-free, New Jerseyans shouldn't plant flowers until Mother's Day, which is considered to be a truly safe point in the calendar to plant.
