BELMAR - The unseasonably warm weather in New Jersey this Christmas is a boon to some local businesses.

Families donned shorts and flip-flops and headed to the beach as temperatures soared into the upper 60s and 70s.

Langosta Lounge in Asbury Park was decorated for the holiday, but its clientele dressed for summer. The warm temperatures weren't out of place, as owner Richard Bach keeps the restaurant "vacation ready," which happens to be its theme.

The restaurant is expecting a large crowd for its free community Christmas dinner.

At the Eastern Lines Surf Shop in Belmar, co-owner Darby Tarrant says the summer-like warmth can stay year-round.

The shop says its sales were up 36 percent in November and it's on track for similar numbers this month.
