HOBOKEN - Winter’s icy grip on New Jersey was unclenched Saturday afternoon with temperatures soaring near 60 degrees.

News 12 New Jersey’s Ranji Sinha was in Pier A Park in Hoboken, where residents were staying active and enjoying a day off from the relentless winter storms and freezing temperatures.

Temperatures are expected to remain warm Sunday.

Forecasters say next week will be a return to colder temperatures throughout the state.
