WALL TOWNSHIP - The owner of a Jersey Shore Christmas tree lot will be giving away leftover trees to people who can’t afford one.

Geoffrey Ernst, owner of Tree Willy, says that he ordered too many Fraser fir trees and has decided to give away whatever trees he does not sell.

"We would love for anyone that is unable or financially hurting this year to come out and make their holiday a merry one,” Ernst says.

About 50 trees are expected to be given away Thursday. Tree Willy is located at the Circus Drive-In on Route 35 in Wall Township.

Ernst also donated 5 percent of his profits this season to breast cancer research.
