Walk held in memory of fallen Lakewood police officer

LAKEWOOD - Hundreds of Ocean Country residents came out to walk in memory of a fallen Lakewood police officer who was killed in the line of duty.

Officer Christopher Matlosz was killed in January after being shot during a traffic stop.

The walk was held to raise money for the local Police Benevolent Association to support families of fallen officers and to establish a scholarship in Matlosz's name.

In all, approximately $15,000 was raised during today's event.
