EDISON - Vincent Curatola, the actor who starred alongside James Gandolfini in "The Sopranos," says Gandolfini created one of television's great characters.

Curatola says Gandolfini was able to portray Tony Soprano as a man with multiple sides to his personality. He says he was successful, "because what you saw was so much pathos. But then you saw such incredible violence," Curatola said.

"Yeah he had the money, he had the cars, he had the homes, he had the girls, he had everything," says his co-star. "But there was something there you could see in his eyes that every once in a while, you know, I'm a jerk. I shouldn't be doing this."

Curatola says Gandolfini left his his audience wanting more from Tony Soprano. "And that's what made people watch him."
