Vigil held for slain Linden teenager killed in apparent robbery

LINDEN - Family and friends from all over Linden filled Hussa Street at the exact spot where 18-year-old Amber Wilson was shot and killed Monday evening.

The Union County prosecutor says Amber Wilson was walking from a Dunkin' Donuts in Linden with a friend when she was approached, shot and robbed late last night on the 500 block of Hussa Street.

The prosecutor's office says words were exchanged and people reported hearing an argument before the gunfire.

Wilson graduated from Linden High School last month.

Anyone with information regarding the shooting is asked to call the Union County Crime Stoppers at (908) 654-TIPS or text UCTIP plus a message to 274637.
