Vigil held for Rutgers student who committed suicide

NEW BRUNSWICK - Several hundred students and faculty attended the memorial held tonight at Rutgers University for Tyler Clementi who committed suicide after a sexual encounter involving him was broadcast on the Internet.

His roommate and another student have been arrested and charged with invasion of privacy after he allegedly set up a secret webcam that broadcast the sexual encounter.

Those that knew Clementi said he may have felt isolated and was in need of support.

For his friends and classmates at the rally, they were just trying to cope with the tragic loss of a promising student.

Funeral arrangements for Clementi have not yet been released to the public.
