GARFIELD - A vigil was held tonight for a Garfield teen who was killed at baseball practice last week.

Dozens of people turned out at Babe Ruth Field in Garfield to remember Thomas Adams, 16, who died after a ball hit him in the chest at an indoor park Friday.

Funeral services for Adams were held in Rockland County today, where his relatives live.

An investigation is under way to see if Adams' equipment may have failed to protect him properly.
