EAST ORANGE - A vigil was held for the East Orange teen who was found shot to death earlier this month.
A candlelight vigil for 17-year-old Aquilla Flood was held Saturday night at 7 p.m. at the corner of Grove and Williams streets in East Orange. Vigil attendees walked to City Hall at 7:45.
Flood, who had been voted prom queen and was set to graduate from East Orange Campus High School this month, was found shot to death in her bedroom on June 5. Her ex-boyfriend, Al-Muqqadin Means, has been charged with her alleged murder.

Means is currently being held in the Essex County Jail after his request for elimination of bail had been denied.
