SCOTCH PLAINS - A Vietnam War veteran who walked across the country in honor of his fallen comrades was honored today in his hometown of Scotch Plains.

Between September of 2010 and September of 2011, Anthony "Tony the Vet" LoBue walked from San Diego to Ground Zero. He arrived at Ground Zero on the 10th anniversary of 9/11.

Today, LoBue received a certificate of recognition from Mayor Nancy M. Malool.

LoBue is now planning a walk from Allentown, Pa. to New York City.
