JERSEY CITY - Families from around the country are arriving in New Jersey today to claim their missing belongings.

The families claim they are the victims of a fraudulent mover. They say the mover never showed up with their possessions after being paid thousands of dollars.

The company, Virgin Van Lines, used Budget rental trucks to pack up the families’ belongings. One of the victims says he was told the company never paid Budget or the freelance drivers it hired.

“After 75 days, I found out it [the truck and contents] was abandoned by the moving company because they were not paying Budget,” said Dennis

After three court dates and months of waiting, the victims were allowed to retrieve their items at a storage facility in Jersey City.
