NEW YORK - (AP) - Basking Ridge-based Verizon Wireless says it will start selling aversion of the iPhone 4 in early February, giving U.S. iPhonebuyers a choice of carriers for the first time.

Since it launched in 2007, Apple's phone has been soldexclusively for AT&T's network in the U.S., while most othercountries had several carriers.

Verizon Communications Inc.'s chief operating officer, LowellMcAdam, made the announcement in New York.

The arrival of the Verizon iPhone has been long expected.Analysts expect Verizon to sell anywhere from 5 million to 13million iPhones this year.
