CARTERET - A Middlesex County business was evacuated Tuesday while crews cleaned up a chemical spill.

Vanguard Logistics on Port Carteret Drive in Carteret was evacuated around 2 p.m. after 500 gallons of a flammable chemical fell off a forklift and spilled inside.

The hazardous materials team was called in to clean up the chemicals.

No injuries were reported.
