Van hits woman, 2 kids in Paterson

PATERSON - Police say a van making a turn at an intersection in Paterson struck and injured three pedestrians this morning.

Authorities say a woman, a 3-year-old girl and a 5-year-old boy, were all taken to St. Joseph's Hospital. The three were hit on the corner of Marshall and Grand streets.

Paterson police say the two children suffered non-life threatening injuries. The woman suffered a partial amputation of her foot, according to police.

Authorities say the van making the turn had the green light. Police say they consider the incident a tragic accident.
