EATONTOWN - The U.S. Postal Service will hold a meeting on Jan. 3 to discuss the future of the Monmouth Processing and Distribution Center (P&DC) in Eatontown.

Postal service representatives will discuss the proposal to move mail processing operations to the Trenton Processing & Distribution Center.

The postal service began a study on Sept. 15 at the Monmouth P&DC to determine the feasibility of consolidating redundant operations to see if any efficiencies and cost savings would be achieved.

The meeting will be held in the Pollak Theater at Monmouth University in West Long Branch at 7 p.m.
