ORANGE - It has been seven long years for Deborah Suitt, whose son was killed in an unsolved hit-and-run in Orange.

Carey Suitt, 37, was attempting to cross Freeway Drive East in an effort to get home when he was struck by a black 2005 GMC Envoy. Witnesses say he was in the pedestrian walkway when he was hit.

They say that the SUV continued on Freeway East and was last seen on Hickory Road.

The 2006 case has not had any new leads and the driver was never found.

"People say time heals. There are some things that don't heal,” said Deborah Suitt. “You just live with the pain daily."

There is still a $5,000 reward being offered for anyone who has information leading to the driver of the SUV that killed Carey Suitt.
