CLARK - The Union County prosecutor has put out a plea for help in solving a cold case in Clark.

No one has been arrested in connection to the murder of 73-year-old Vera Pecoraro. Police say someone made their way into Pecoraro's Rolling Hills Lane home on July 6, 2012 and stabbed her to death inside her living room.

Pecoraro lived alone and was packing up to move down to the shore.

Prosecutor Grace Park says the incident was not a random robbery. Investigators say they still believe that the victim was targeted, however nothing was taken from her home. Autopsy results revealed that she did not have any defensive wounds.

Park is asking anyone who may have been in the neighborhood or who may have come into contact with Pecoraro to think back for anything that was unusual. She says detectives have interviewed dozens of potential witnesses but have not made any connections to the crime.

There is a $100,000 reward being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
