Union Beach family finds wedding rings amid destruction

Karyn Sochacki, who lost her home due to the hurricane, says finding her wedding rings is a symbol of hope for all of Union Beach.

UNION BEACH - One family in hard-hit Union Beach say their Christmas will be merrier after finding their wedding rings on the beach, nearly two months after Sandy hit.

Karyn Sochacki, who lost her home due to the hurricane, says finding her wedding rings is a symbol of hope for all of Union Beach. Sochacki says she rarely wore her rings and left them at home as the storm hit.

Volunteers and her sons found the rings as they were digging into what used to be the foundation of the family's home.
