Undocumented CCM students to pay out-of-state tuition

RANDOLPH - The Board of Trustees at the County College of Morris has decided that undocumented students will have to pay out-of-state tuition rates after a vote on the issue yesterday.

Students who do not live in New Jersey pay more than twice as much per credit.

Many undocumented students say they won't be able to afford their education.

Supporters gathered before the meeting yesterday to say the undocumented students deserve an education at the same rate as their in-state classmates.

Other students argued that taxpayer money shouldn't subsidize tuition for undocumented students.

The meeting attracted more than 150 people, with a third of them making statements to the board.
