ASBURY PARK - The undead invaded the Asbury Park boardwalk Saturday for the annual Zombie Walk.

The spooky event featuring people in zombie makeup and attire was originally scheduled for last Saturday, but had to be postponed due to the poor weather.

The event itself is also coming back from the dead: the original organizer had decided to cancel the walk because of rising costs, but the owner of Johnny Mac's bar announced he would carry on the tradition.

The day kicked off with events in the morning before the walk. Live music and other festivities were held afterward.
