NEWARK - Screeners at Newark Liberty Airport aren't properly patting down passengers, the Star-Ledger reports, citing internal data from the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).

The report states that pat-downs were done correctly only 17 percent of the time, and that screeners took proper action on prohibited items just one quarter of the time.

On the flip side, screeners scored 100 percent in areas like good listening skills and removing prohibited items found during physical searches.
