Trooper, 2 others injured in Garden State Parkway crash

STAFFORD TOWNSHIP - A state trooper and two others were injured after a car crash on the Garden State Parkway Sunday morning.

State police say a trooper had pulled a vehicle over to the shoulder when another car hit the patrol car. The impact caused the trooper's car to crash into the car he had pulled over.

Two people were air-lifted to the Atlantic City Trauma Center. The trooper was taken to the hospital and checked out as a precaution.

Authorities are investigating what may have caused the crash.
