MONMOUTH COUNTY - The trial of a man accused of killing his 2-year-old daughter is set to begin Wednesday in a Monmouth County courtroom.

Arthur Morgan, once the subject of a nationwide manhunt, is accused of tossing Tierra Morgan-Glover into a creek in Wall Township while she was still strapped into her car seat.

Morgan is charged with murder, child endangerment and interference with custody.

Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Chris Gramiccioni says the trial is expected to take three to four weeks.

"If these charges are proven to be true, this would be one of the most heinous cases that I've seen," Gramiccioni says. "But again that's not my determination, that's the jury's determination on whether he's guilty or not guilty, and we're confident in our proofs."

An autopsy determined the little girl was alive and alert when she landed in the water. If convicted, her father could get life without parole.
