NEWARK - One of the six men charged in the execution-style murder of three college-aged friends is on trial. The man, Alexander Alfaro, is accused of using a machete to attack victims in a Newark schoolyard.
Alfaro was just 16 at the time of the murders, which took place on Aug. 4, 2007.
The sole survivor of the Newark schoolyard murders, Natasha Aerial, gave her chilling testimony today.
Aerial gave her account of being stabbed and shot in the schoolyard. Three of the men accused have yet to go on trial. Alfaro and the other underage defendants are all standing trial as adults. One was already convicted and another pleaded guilty.
